LCCI GOLF DAY


Join us at the LCCI Golf Day at Royal Blackheath Golf Club hosted by Colin Stanbridge, Chief Executive, LCCI. Enjoy a day of high-level networking and golf in a relaxed environment. You are welcome to enter a corporate a team of four or book individual places and we will organise you into a team. Handicap limits are 24 for Men and 36 for Ladies.

The golf day includes:

  • Refreshments on arrival
  • 18 holes (shotgun start at 12.30pm)
  • Post-round three course dinner
  • Prize giving - competitions to include best individual stableford, best team stableford, longest drive 
        and  nearest the pin

    PHILIPPINES ROUNDTABLE


    London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is pleased to host a roundtable with Chris Nelson, Chairman, British Chamber of Commerce Philippines.

    The Philippines is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, with GDP growth of 6.9% (Q1/2016) and a remarkably positive GDP growth trajectory over a decade, which is projected to increase to 8.8% by 2018. Strategically located in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is an ideal market for doing business particularly for companies that are looking to set up a regional operation. Huge opportunities for British companies lie in the construction, ICT, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and energy sectors.

    The roundtable will be hosted by Chris Nelson who is currently a member of the Board of Philippine National Bank Holdings Corporation and PNB Global Remittance and Financial Company. During the roundtable, Chris will provide a brief overview about the Philippine economy including its potential for business, available opportunities and challenges faced by foreign companies. He will also present the business support service of BCCP to assist UK SMEs that are keen to enter the Philippine market.

    NETWORKING TRAINING: HOW TO WORK A ROOM


    Hate the thought of networking? Want to learn how to network on your own terms?

    Walking into a room full of strangers can be daunting for most people - even 'seasoned' networkers! For many people, the fear of networking at events stops them attending or has them standing at the edge of the room not knowing what to do and therefore missing out on expanding their number of business contacts and raising their profile and the profile of their business.

    EUROPEAN COMPANY MISSION TO INDIA


    UK companies are invited to join businesses from EU countries to explore the growing business opportunities in India. India is experiencing positive economic growth, with the World Bank forecasting that India will grow by 7% in 2016.

    The mission will include pre-arranged business-to-business meetings in Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi (tbc) organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). As well as networking reception and client hospitality with locally invited businesses in Mumbai, hosted by the Bombay Stock Exchange.

    This European Company Mission is part of the EAGLE TWO project which has received funding from the European Union's COSME Programme (2014-2020).

    INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRAINING: LETTERS OF CREDIT


    A one-day practical workshop aimed at exporting companies which regularly receive or handle Letters of Credit (L/Cs). The session will assist companies to negotiate the most favourable terms for L/Cs, as well as to reduce the risks and costs associated with presenting documents to the bank.

    On completing the course, delegates will know how to select the best terms of payment and how best to achieve them.  They will also be aware of the cost and cash flow implications of different methods of payment.
    The course is suitable for everyone involved in handling L/Cs i.e. export sales, project teams, export managers, administrators, finance teams, shipping and customer service personnel.
